violin • Viola • Cello Lessons

We offer private violin, viola, and cello lessons tailored to individuals of all ages and skill levels, focusing on providing personalized instruction. Our dedicated teachers specialize in working with string students aged 5 and above, including adults. Regardless of whether you are a beginner or an advanced player, our instructors are equipped to guide you through your musical journey.

Our teachers utilize curriculum that is designed to help students of all levels achieve their goals. For beginners, we foster a positive and enjoyable learning environment where they can acquire the fundamentals of violin playing. As students progress to intermediate and advanced levels, our teachers not only help them refine their skills but also prepare for auditions and other adjudicated events, setting them up for success.

We take pride in organizing multiple events throughout the year, providing our string students with opportunities to showcase their talent. These performances serve as a platform for students to demonstrate their progress and share their love for music.

Embark on your musical journey with us and discover the joy of playing the violin, viola, or cello.

Are you ready to learn a stringed instrument?

We teach all styles, including classical, fiddling, celtic, pop and rock.

Our Strings instructors have received their education from prestigious institutions such as Pittsburgh State University, UC Berkeley, Manhattan School of Music, and Florida State University. They bring many years of professional performance and teaching experience to your lessons.

Our students spend time each week working on technical skills to improve their sound quality and intonation, along with note reading, rhythm, technique, and expression. A variety of methods are used to achieve the basics and make progress on the instrument. Our teachers nurture the student’s love of music through their care and expertise.

No. Beginners are welcome!

You will need to have an instrument to bring to class each week as well as to practice on at home. We have several violins at the school, so students who do not yet have a violin can come to their first lesson and try out one of our instruments. The instructor can assist with recommending the correct size to purchase or rent. There are several rental companies throughout the Tampa Bay Area – please contact us for more information.

Absolutely! We host a variety of recitals throughout the year. Students typically work hard toward a goal and have a wonderful feeling of accomplishment after participating in a performance. Venues include outdoor amphitheaters such as R.E. Olds Park and Carrollwood Village Park, outreach concerts at assisted living facilities, high school auditoriums, Steinway Piano Gallery, Starkey Ranch Library Theater, and more. We do not charge any participation fees for students and admission is free, so you can invite your family and friends without having to pay for tickets.

Our Strings instructors are warm and friendly, and get to know each student and parent on a personal level. We work with you to craft a lesson plan that fits your individual needs and the student’s favorite type of music. Whether you’re playing in local bands, a seven year old taking their first lesson, or a fifty year old returning to the violin after many years, we’ll set goals to achieve your musical aspirations.
